A reminder, big news about 2027 submissions, and a few other do-dads of import for you today.
Saturday the 28th (aka tomorrow) night at BOLD Coffee and Books, four Clocks authors will be reading from their stories! I really hope you'll be there. For anyone who buys the book, there will be a raffle for a copy of Claw Machine, Animal Noir, a copy of the first issue of The Little Periodical, and the special issue, Growing Up.

I was making a new website that could hold... everything when I saw the laundry list of author names I'd published. Curious, I counted them up. It turns out I've published 47 individual voices across 4 anthologies. My mind is still blown by this.
The thing is, I am done with anthologies on my own. I don't have the bandwidth for the Kickstarter and editing and back and forth and mailing out books and waiting on Amazon. Still, I want that 47 to be 60 or 100 or more. I want authors and artists to feel seen. My press is a true one woman operation, but I try to support the creatives nonetheless. I get them copies of their work, set up fun events when I can, share their info, submit them to contests. I do what I can. I think that's why people still submit to me, despite not being known or big or selling out at stores. It's the grassroots movement, the personal touches, the connections.
This leads me to an announcement.
I have created a landing page littlekeystudio.com that links to all the things. Some of them include:

◗ The Little Key Games site, which is obviously for my games. The first Kickstarter will be in May. (Now you see why doing another would be a lot.)
◗ The submission page on the press website, which has all the nitty gritty info about the 2027 project replacing anthologies. It's called The Little Gatherer. It's a bi-weekly online literary and art journal that will be published as a special issue of The Little Periodical twice a year. It will automatically come with a subscription to TLP or can be bought separately. At the moment, you are all signed up to receive this new newsletter, but as with the others, you can unsubscribe if you'd like. The first online issue will go out in March.
Some very exciting things in 2027, I'd say. A card game, a literary & art journal, a non-fiction book, streaming more regularly, and another few things in the works. It's a lot but also manageable. HOW?! you may reasonably find yourself asking. Well, a lot of thought, a lot of built in rest time, taking some things back to basics, focusing on health every minute I'm not being creative, and planning in August.
It may seem wild to do so this far out, but this is part of me pacing. How can I do what I want without hurting myself seems to be the eternal question. And setting things up early and spaced out is the best answer I have so far.
