Hey, have a blog post

Morning darklings,

This week has been nonstop. When I peeled my eyes open this morning at 7am (gasp, right?) and thought about what my day looked like, it was smoke, lost in the pain of exhaustion of being alive and awake after being slaughtered for the umpteenth time. So I clicked my phone and the screen read, "Rest for TeaFest". I could deduce—even through the fog of nightmares that had my muscles still aching—that today is Friday.

Well dang. Life's been moving so fast, I didn't get a chance to finish that story about the dolls for you all. So until I do, I wanted to share the recording from the Clocks reading, which is amazing (my authors have true presence and great reading voices).

*No recording because my throat hurts from the stifled screaming all night, and I need to not talk for a few hours to rest it. Those of you who understand this feeling, who have nightmares that live in your bones and make you dread sleeping, who haven't found the times when your body is unconscious restful in decades, I'm sorry. It's just fucking horrible. But then we wake up, brush our teeth, drink something, move around, and start our day.

Funny story to lighten the mood: there was a person named "raine" with us the whole time. I haven't seen all of the authors (not all have photos on their website), and many of them use multiple names, so I assumed it was one of them. After messaging this person in the behind-the-scenes many times throughout the event, I realized that they are not one of the authors. I don't know how they got ahold of this link, but I do find that hilarious. They probably thought I was crazy. Why is the publisher asking me to read—I'm not involved in this... doesn't she know that? And you know "raine", I really didn't. Hilarious all around.
